For the first salon of 2013, we went intergalactic and rocketed you all into outer space! Thanks to Linsay Trerise’s childrens’ tv art direction skills, Cass Art was transformed in to a whole new world aboard our space ship;a spangly, button-filled, moon surfaced world unknown full of tin foil and silver delights! On our dangerous mission, with Raven Rouge and Luna Moonrise as the navigational crew, we landed on Planet Necropolis and explored a world threatening and inhospitable to all but the boldest, bravest of space vixens…enter FOXERELLA – our space suited, moon-booted Barbarella-esque heroine, aka Ava Iscariot, with her hi-tech gun to track down the aliens and keep us all safe from danger…
Then we shared a not-so-distant vision of the future, an unsettling dystopia where The State has introduced laws that take possession and control over any female human body that has not ‘succeeded’ in reproduction or couple status before the age of 37.5 years. We met Barbara, who was injected with the drug ‘ORgY’ by State officials and we saw the consequences unfold, as she transformed to part-android status, became pregnant with a robotic progeny, only to then find her human emotions returning….What will become of her half-android, half-human child?
Thanks to all of our models and helpers, to Cass Art and to our stellar photographer David Geewai Ho. All photos (c) Art Macabre 2013 (http://geewaiho.blogspot.co.uk for more of David’s photography skills)
