As a festive special, inspired by Italian portrait artist Moroni, we celebrated Renaissance Christmas at a late night opening of the RA exhibition spectacular. With Renaissance dancers and a traditional choir performing, Odette Toilette scent workshops, wreath making and mulled cocktails on offer, plus Art Macabre of course, there was much merriment in the Royal Academy of Arts on Saturday 29 November 2014.
In the gorgeously gilt and golden chandeliered Reynolds Room, our costumed and nude models posed beneath a large painting of a life drawing class, to inspire hundreds more people who took part in our drop-in workshops across the evening to capture our sitters characters in their own sketches. There were some glorious results!
